Frozen Pipes - The winters can be brutal in Illinois and there may be situations when pipes may freeze. Some frozen pipes will burst in certain conditions. Some people have there home winterized to try to avoid those problems, but sometimes there is nothing you can do. If the heating system breaks down and water pipes are exposed to freezing temperatures, pipes freeze up and even burst. Sometimes the problems don't show up until the thaw and then you can have major water damage to your home. Know where your water shut off valve is in case you every have a major water leak.

Clogged Bathroom - Clogged drains are a common plumbing problem that a homeowner will run into from time to time. A clogged toilet can usually be taken care of with a simple plunger or a bathroom sink that does not drain is usually not a major problem to fix. If you suddenly find that all your drains in your bathroom are clogged up, then you may have a main line stoppage. Sewer rodding or sewer cleaning service may be needed.
